Cuando se habla de avances en agricultura, en nuevas técnicas, muchas veces parece que hablamos de un futuro, como cuando pensábamos que en el año 2000 iríamos en coches voladores. La diferencia con este simple ejemplo es que la tecnología del futuro la tenemos aquí y ahora, son las conocidas como nuevas técnicas genómicas en este caso aplicadas en mejora vegetal para el desarrollo de nuevas variedades de semillas y plantas, entre las que se incluye las conocidas siglas CRISPR, descubiertas por el científico español Francis Mojica.

La presidenta del Instituto Andaluz de Investigación y Formación Agraria, Pesquera, Alimentaria y de la Producción Ecológica (Ifapa), Marta Bosquet, y el director general de la Asociación Nacional de Obtentores Vegetales (Anove), Antonio Villarroel, han firmado en la mañana de hoy un acuerdo marco de colaboración para el desarrollo conjunto de actividades de investigación, transferencia tecnológica e innovación en el ámbito agroalimentario, sector en el que ambas organizaciones son punteras.
