La Comisión de Medio Ambiente, Salud Pública y Seguridad Alimentaria (ENVI) del Parlamento Europeo votará esta semana el texto de compromiso del Reglamento sobre NGTs. Esta votación constituye un paso fundamental hacia la adopción final de una legislación europea con visión de futuro destinada a impulsar la innovación en la mejora vegetal en la UE.
2025, un año de avances clave para la mejora vegetal en España y Europa
2025 quedará marcado en la historia reciente de la mejora vegetal en España y en la Unión Europea como un periodo de consolidación de avances regulatorios y de posicionamiento estratégico de un sector esencial para la seguridad alimentaria, la agricultura sostenible y la competitividad global. Desde la Asociación Nacional de Obtentores Vegetales (ANOVE), hemos trabajado para tener un papel activo en la definición de prioridades y la interlocución con instituciones españolas y europeas que den lugar a marcos normativos basados en las exigencias de innovación científica y agrícola que el sector necesita para dar respuestas a los problemas actuales de la agricultura.
