The member companies of play a fundamental role in the agricultural sector, as researchers and providers of technology (new varieties) essential to agricultural development and the food chain, unanimously recognised as their principal source of added value. aspires to be an instrument that contributes to overcoming the challenges faced by the Spanish agricultural sector by collaborating with the competent authorities and the organisations that represent the different players and sectors in agricultural production. The Association is well represented in the Spanish agricultural sector, where its members account for an high percentage of the plant varieties most frequently grown. , as a member of ESA (European Seed Association) and ISF (International Seed Federation), is the association that represents the plant breeding sector in Spain and chairs the Plataforma Tecnológica de Agricultura Sostenible
